Grounded in Evidence, Delivered with Heart.
At Getting On, we’re deeply influenced by what the research continues to show: that wellbeing in later life is about more than just physical health. It’s about being seen, known, and valued.
We take inspiration from frameworks that emphasise the importance of connection, personal identity, and emotional and existential wellbeing. Organisations like Meaningful Ageing Australia have contributed significantly in this space, offering guidance that supports a more holistic approach to ageing.
By staying closely linked to those leading research and policy in this field, we ensure our approach remains both grounded in evidence and deeply human.
We share many of these values - but we express them in our own way. Small, consistent teams. Conversations that go beyond logistics. A focus on what someone still loves, not just what they need help with.
We’ve had carers learn family recipes to recreate a favourite meal. We’ve taken detours for a sunrise or paused in a garden because it felt like the right moment. We’ve asked real questions, listened carefully, and never once assumed that getting older means becoming less yourself.
For us, care isn’t about doing more - it’s about doing the right things. And doing them in a way that honours who someone has been all along.
We don’t follow scripts. We build relationships. And we believe that’s how people feel most at home, even as their needs evolve.
Through our partnerships, we’re also able to connect clients to trusted additional services - from home modifications and allied health, to community programs and emotional support - ensuring continuity, dignity, and ease every step of the way.
