Aged Care Funding is Changing.

From 1 November 2025, after multiple delays, Australia’s aged care system will begin its most significant reform in decades.

The shift is part of a broader legislative push toward equity and sustainability - but for many families, especially those of means, the practical reality is this:

You’ll be asked to contribute significantly more - up to 50–80% of your government-funded Home Care Package costs. A lifetime cap will apply (currently $134,000), but until then, most of your fees will come out of pocket.

That’s not the problem.

The problem is what you get in return.

For all the good intentions in the world, the Home Care Package model wasn’t designed for people who expect personalised care, consistent staff, or input into how services are delivered. It’s a one-size-fits-all system trying to meet growing demand at scale. And it shows.

We see it every day.  Rotating rosters. Minimal training. No real continuity.

Support workers who arrive late, leave early, and don’t know your parent’s name - let alone their story.

You don’t choose. You don’t direct. You just hope for the best.

Even for those on the highest level of support, the package is often stretched thin - trying to fund laundry, transport, meals, personal care, social support, and allied health, all within a capped allocation. The system demands flexibility from families, but offers none in return.

And so, families top up. Supplement. Organise. Manage.

They become care coordinators by default - paying in time and attention, even when they’re already paying financially.  At some point, a different question begins to surface:

What if there’s another way?

Private care isn’t indulgence. It’s the smart choice.

For families already contributing tens of thousands a year to government packages, it’s not indulgent to ask for better. It’s responsible.

Compare it to school fees, or the cost of a single overseas holiday. Compare it to the hours your family spends managing services that should feel effortless.

What we offer isn’t just care

It’s relief, trust, and a service that respects your standards.

If you’ve outgrown the limitations of the system, we’re here with something better. And we’re setting a new standard for care.
